Cyril Paul Hague

(September 5, 1938 – December 21, 2001)

Cyril ” Ciggy ” Hague, 63, of Spring Hill Florida died Friday, December 21, 2001 in the Hernando Hospice. He was born in Washington on September 5,1938 a son of the late Cyril and Catherine Pettit Hague.He attended Trinity High School. He had worked as a chef for many years and most recently owned a restaurant in the Tampa area. On Nov. 9, 1982 he married Wanda Roher who survives. Also surviving are sons, Ronald Paul, Cyril, William, and Anthony Hague. Step-son Ray Tennant, step-daughters Lee Ann Macdonald and Peggy Gagich. A brother Leonard Hague and sister Mildred H. Neal, 13 grand children and 4 great-grand children. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on December 28,2001 in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue.

David G. Skolyak

(April 14, 1942 – December 21, 2001)

David G. Skolyak,59, of Washington died Friday, December 21, in Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born on April 14,1942 in Washington, the son of Joseph and Josephine Fedis Skolyak. He was retired, having worked as an Electrical Finisher at Cooper Industries for over 28 years. He was a Trinity High School Graduate and a United States Navy Veteran.

On November 19, 1966 he married Barbara Hilliard who survives. Also surviving are: a son, James D. Skolyak, two daughters, Janice Tennant, Nancy Skolyak; two brothers, Robert & Fred Skolyak; and three grandchildren, Frank Tennant Jr., Brittany and Brandon Naraskivitch. Deceased is a brother John Skolyak.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Suday from 2-4, 7-9 PM at our Allison Ave location where services will be held on Monday, December 24 at 1:00 PM. Burial in Washington Cemetery.

Ella L. Cavanaugh

(February 11, 1925 – December 21, 2001)

Ella L. Cavanaugh,76, of Washington,died Friday, December 21 in Washington Hospital following a six month illness. She was born on February 11, 1925, the daughter of Floyd I. & Alice Bainer Courtwright. Having worked at Duncan Miller Glass and later Orbans Bakery, she later worked as a cashier at Jakes News Stand from which she retired. She was a member of The Arms Club, VFW # 927, and the Women of the Moose # 318, recieving the College of Regents Degree in 1972 which is the highest degree possible for Women of the Moose.

On Oct. 4,1946 she married William W. Cavanaugh who survives. Also surviving are : Three sons, Michael F., William ” Pat ” , and Kevin J ” K.J. ” Cavanaugh, a daughter Susan M. Lucero, sister Marie Stebella, three grandchildren, Tiffany, Melissa Lucero and Nicholas Cavanaugh. She was preceeded in death by two brothers, Harold F. ” Moats ” and Floyd I ” Cork ” Courtwright Jr. and a sister Elizabeth ” Biddy ” Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-4,7-9 PM in our Allison Ave. location where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 AM Monday with Father Thomas O’Neill officiating, Entombment in Serentity Mausoleum at Washington Cemetery.

Emma Jane Pendergast

Emma Jane Pendergast, 82, of Washington, died Friday, December 21, in the Washington Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Waynesburg on March 13, 1919 the daughter of Charles and Sylvia Shape Fordyce. She first worked as an Operator for Bell Telephone, later having provided Child and Senior Healthcare to several local families.

On June 8, 1946 she married John E. Pendergast who died on December 12, 1987.

Surviving are : three sons, John W., Brian, and Jan Pendergast; 4 daughters, Claire Roach, Joyce Skoczylas, Wendy Pendergast, Brenda Cage; and 12 Grandchildren as well as 1 great-grandchild.

Preceeding her in death are a grandson, Michael Roach and a Brother, William Fordyce.

Visitaion will be held at our Allison Ave. location on Sunday from 2-4,7-9 PM. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Washington Cemetery.

Robert Nelson Sharp

Robert N. Sharp, 81, of Canonsburg died Wed. December 26,2001 in Canonsburg Hospital. Mr. Sharp was born November 15, 1920 in Canonsburg, a son of William Sr. and Bertha Boyce Sharp . He had worked as a Carrier and clerk at the Canonsburg Post Office. Surviving are a son, Barry Sharp, daughter Sherri Sprowls, brother William Sharp, three sisters, Thelma Starkey, Shirley Zediker and Betty Chasteen. Two grandchildren,and two great grandchildren.He was preceeded in death by a brother Fred Sharp and sister Audrey Frikley. Visitation will be held at our Allison Avenue facility on Friday 2-4, 7-9 PM and services held on Saturday December 29, at 11:00 AM. Burial in Oak Spring Cemetery.

Willard Earl Booher

Willard E. ” Boo ” Booher, 66, of Canonsburg died in Allegheny General Hospital on December 26, 2001. He was born on September 6, 1935 a son of Willard E Sr. and Sylvia Virginia Shields Booher. He was retired having been a Truck Driver, last working at C.D.S. Trucking. Mr. Booher was a member of the Citizens Band Radio Club, Shortwave Radio Club, and was an avid Fisherman.

Surviving are sons: Mark E., Michael, Steven, and Tim Booher. A daughter Ivana Booher with whom he made his home, a sister Karen McClure and 11 grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

William Joseph Grasser

William J. Grasser, 81 of Washington died Thursday, December 27, 2001 in Kendrid Hospital, Oakdale following a four month illness. He was born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 3, 1920 a son of Fred J. and Genevieve Grasser. Mr. Grasser was retired having been a finish carpenter, last working at Mellon-Stewart Contacting. He was a member of Bethal Masonic Lodge # 761, the N.R.A. , Good Sam Club, and enjoyed camping,hunting, fishing, and playing his guitar. He served the US Army in WWII. On June 23, 1973 he married Charlotte Brown who survives. Aslo, surviving are two sons; William J. Grasser Jr., and Raymon W. Dugan, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by two brothers; Fred and Sonny Grasser. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 29 in our Allison Avenue facilty from 2-4, 6-8 PM, the time of service. Pastor Gary Gibson officiating, later burial in Forest Lawn Gardens.
