Vicky S. Garrett, of Claysville, passed away on Labor Day, September 3, 2007.
She was born March 5, 1948, in Stark County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank and Gladys Miller.
She worked at Brockway Glass, Plant #7, and left there to become a homemaker.
Mrs. Garrettâ€™s hobbies included playing bingo, gardening, and spoiling her grandchildren.
On March 11, 1967, in Washington, she married John William Garrett, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, John (Veronica) Garrett, Jr., of Apex, North Carolina, Patty Garrett of Canonsburg, Wendy S. (Matthew) Turner of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Matthew Scott (Francine) Garrett of Claysville; eleven grandchildren, Tyler, Alexis, Patrick, Trevor, Dylan, Mason, Brady, Cody, Mary, Abby and Emmy; two sisters, Patricia Ann (Ron) McGlynchey of Massillon, Ohio, and Beverly (Bill) Keildson of Newaygo, Michigan.
Deceased are four brothers, Frank Miller, Jr., Max Richard Miller, John (Jake) Miller and Henry Pethel Miller; and three sisters, Annabelle Ruth Kennedy, Mary Madeline Miller and Linda Lea Kimmey.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2007, with Rev. Dr. Susan VandeKappelle officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
